with Arts en résidence – Réseau national.
A collaboration between thankyouforcoming (Nice – French Riviera),
Maison Salvan (Toulouse-Labège), MEMENTO (Auch)
and Centre d’arts Fernand Léger (Port de Bouc).

SAISON #7 – 2022 – ACROSS#35
Each year, thankyouforcoming hosts art critics/curators in residency
in Nice and the surrounding area.

The nomadic curatorial residency set up by Arts en résidence – Réseau national since 2016, regularly offers an exhibition curator or art critic the opportunity to be hosted in several structures of the network during different stays.
This nomadic residency is to be considered as a meeting and networking residency with numerous art world professionals in the different areas, for which each structure will act as a facilitator. The candidate therefore agrees to be available to meet and dialogue with the local scenes and contexts offered by each of the venues.
Each structure will work out with the selected candidate the way in which it intends to involve him/ her temporarily in the life of the venues/area.

Next September-October 2022, Maison Salvan (Toulouse-Labège), MEMENTO (Auch), Centre d’arts Fernand Léger (Port de Bouc) and thankyouforcoming (Nice – French Riviera), members of Arts en résidence- Réseau national, will host the project.

SEASON #7 – 2022 – ACROSS#34
Each year, thankyouforcoming hosts art critics/curators in residency
in Nice and the surrounding area.

Kaunas Artists’ House (KAH, Lithuania) together with the ACROSS residencies by thankyouforcoming (based in Nice, French Riviera, France) are starting to carry out the Reciprocal Residency Programme DeMo (abbreviation of Decoding Modernity). The programme aims to explore the connections between different modernities and to think of modernity as a range of concepts across different periods and geographical situations and across cultural, scientific, societal and industrial developments.
This residency also allows the laureate to discover the Nice area’s contemporary art scene and history, to develop their research work and to participate in a new network.

Reciprocal Residency DeMo is a part of “Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022” programme.
Partners: Kaunas Artists’ House, thankyouforcoming, Lithuanian Culture Institute, Ministère de la Culture, Région Sud, Département des Alpes-Maritimes, Ville de Nice.

The call for applications is only open to art critics/curators with a connection to Lithuania (being a native, living, working or developing a project there).

In order to provide a broader perspective on modernity or modernities DeMo, a three-year programme (2020-2022) of Kaunas Artists’ House, together with the Derry ~ Londonderry Center for Contemporary Art, the ACROSS residency programme by thankyouforcoming in Nice / French Riviera, the Culture Center LAB in Novi Sad, and other partners is inviting artists, curators,
cultural field researchers, and multidisciplinary collectives to explore the possible interfaces, overlaps and divergences between the different modernities, their forms and expressions.
The purpose of those residencies also is to foster links and collaborations between the local art ecosystem and international artists, curators, art critics, institutions, galleries etc at a large scale.

The Residency Programme ACROSS will consist of two weeks of physical residency time (April 24th – May 8th, 2022*) in Nice, France.

* The residency programme may be delayed due to the evolution of the pandemic.
