Born in Colombia and now based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he is the co-founder of Residencia Coordenadas, the curator Julián León Camargo has a view shaped by migration and displacement, not only as elements of his personal history, but also as epistemological tools.

He explores questions of mobility (of bodies, images, ideas) as generators of new forms of belonging and reconfiguration of dominant cultural narratives. He is particularly attracted to works and speeches that question institutional boundaries, fixed identities and consider ambiguity as a resource.

Designed to develop the professional network of the laureate and nourish his researches through encounters and exchanges with local artistic scenes, it will also be for him to take a look at the structuring of the French network of residences and the professional practices of its members, in order to report on it and to nourish the reflection of structures in Argentina.

The nomadic curatorial residency is organized by Arts en résidence - Réseau national and Red Quincho - Argentine network of residencies with the support of the Williams Foundation. This residency is organized with the malterie visual arts, the Métive, Artists in residence and thankyouforcoming.
